Our traditional beef that is produced each year is professionally corned finished using locally raised corn from northern Colorado.Corned fed beef is available from December through late spring each year.Thorbardin Ranch produces high grade restaurant beef, primarily USDA choice and prime with our genetics and feeding program.
Our corn fed beef is custom butchered locally in Laramie.Corn fed beef is sold by the quarter, halves and whole carcasses.Thorbardin Ranch will only process a whole sold animal.To ensure that you get your corn fed beef, talk to your family and neighbors to put together a full whole carcass order.Orders are local pickup either at the butcher shop or at the ranch in Laramie, Wyoming. Thorbardin Ranch will accept commercial orders from restaurants and other establishments with a minimum order of five (5) whole carcasses per order.Commercial orders will be USDA slaughtered in Colorado with Colorado pickup.
Whole corn fed carcasses weigh around 700 lbs, we recommend as much bone in as possible for the final cuts.Bone in meats provide better flavor when cook along with presentation on the plate.
