Bull Sales
Thorbardin Ranch maintains a large and growing bull battery to meet its needs. All of our bulls are chosen through performance testing that is done in-house in Laramie. All of our bulls are chosen based on the idea that we will use them. Let's be frank, if a bull is not good enough for the Ranch to use, it is not good enough to sell either.
Another key point is that Thorbardin Ranch does not sell bulls younger than 10 months of age. While young bull-calves offer potential to a buyer, it is truly not fair to either the buyer or the seller. A bull is such a strong component of a herd genetically he needs to be fertile and ready to perform.
All bulls sold are fertility tested prior to leaving the ranch. This guarantees by the vet that you the buyer are getting a fertile bull.
Our Highland bulls are sold at the Annual Bull Test Auction, but also private treaty during the balance of the year, especially the mature animals.
We have a number of fine TBR Composite bulls that are ideal to use on
heifers while generating exceptional hybrid vigor.
