Florent was one of our top bulls used in natural service and in AI work both within the Highland breed and in Thorbardin's composite breeding program. Florent has produced a number of show winners at the National Western Stock Show, the largest Highland breed show in the country. A partial list of winners is TBR Loman, Champion Intermediate Bull Calf; TBR London, Reserve Champion Junior Bull Calf; TBR Heather, Reserve Champion Junior Yearling Heifer.
Florent is one of our top structurally correct bulls and most of his offspring carry this trait.

Forceful has produced show winning bulls such as TBR Koch and TBR Mordecai (AI), both long bulls with above average growth and show winning conformation.

Kyle has many unique qualities that have lent himself to our breeding program. Besides producing show-winning cattle, he has proven himself as a bull that truly improves the Highland breed. His offspring show significant growth rates over most bulls. His females are the largest bloodlines in our herd today. The average mature cow is approximately 1200 lbs. Kyle himself was the 1993 Grand Champion Pen Bull at the National Western Stock Show. He has also produced Grand Champion Cow/Calf (cow side), and a Grand Champion Bull at the Wyoming State Fair to name only a few. His females' udders have been very tight with small teats which are outstanding.
His carcass traits are extremely positive. He produces some of the largest ribeye areas of any of our bulls, low back fat and marbling that is high select to low choice. His carcasses are ideal for today's health conscious consumer.

TBR Koch was the 2004 Reserve Grand Champion Bull at the National Western Stock Show. He is a very long bull with perfect conformation. His disposition is such that a four-year-old child can ride on his back.
His ultrasound data taken at the NWSS in 2004 showed a ribeye of 16.6 square inches, backfat of 0.23 inches and intramuscular fat (marbling) of 3.45%.
His first two DNA certified offspring each had the highest growth rate for heifers and bulls in our herd.

This is one of the most impressive bulls that Thorbardin has produced. He is a large heavy muscled bull. His color is borderline white/light yellow. He has a superb show record. He was Grand Champion Bull at Wyoming State Fair in 2001. He was also Reserve Grand Champion Bull at Wyoming State Fair in 2000. He was Champion Intermediate Bull at National Western Stock Show in 2002. He finished third in his class for Senior Bulls at National Western Stock Show in 2003.
Konner is a champion himself and both his sire and dam have been champions at various levels as well. EZ Acres Kyle was the 1993 Grand Champion Pen Bull at NWSS. Goldilock was shown at various shows in Washington with an outstanding record.
Konner has two extremely distinct traits that set him apart from most Highland bulls. He had the largest scrotum of all the bulls tested at the 2003 NWSS measuring 41.5 cm. He also had a REA of 16.3 square inches. He is also one of the mellowest bulls that Thorbardin has ever produced.

Gandolf was the top herd Highland sire for Thorbardin Ranch for many years. He is the complete package; conformation, growth, udders, disposition and even carcass quality. His ultrasound data taken in 2000 showed a REA of 17.5, BF of 0.35 and %IMF of 3.67 which is outstanding for a mature bull. His calves have an average birth weight of 69 lbs. He is a calving ease bull. His offspring are consistent winners in the show circuit, winning the highest awards with tremendous positive reviews.
He has a strong maternal side with his dam winning the Produce of Dam award at the 2001 National Western Stock Show. Gandolf himself won the Get-of-Sire at the 2005 NWSS.

Thorbardin's Jed was the 2002 National Western Stock Show Grand Champion Bull. This bull exhibits the complete package of structure, mobility, and above average ultrasound data. His ultrasound data at NWSS measured a 16.5 inch ribeye. This is an easy maintenance bull, he was with over 200 cows during breeding season prior to Stock Show. There have been few champion bulls that can work a large herd of cows and four months later be a grand champion bull. He was also the Reserve Grand Champion Bull at the Wyoming State Fair as a yearling.

This is imported semen from England. Scott was a deep red bull, that produced outstanding calves. Probably one of the top bulls in the Highland breed. He has been known to produce on occasion parti colored animals.
Scott of Craycombe has sired numerous champion animals at all levels within the Highland breed, outstanding growth characteristics and perfect udders on the animals that we had.

Ben Eniglar of Scone Palace
This is an old Sottish bull imported to the states in 1982. He is believed to be one of the finest bulls of all time both on muscling and on comformation in the highland breed. Thorbardin Ranch built much of its herds genetics on this outstanding bull through its embryo program. We have continued to used his embryo daughters in our commercial program successfullying crossing them with top end Angus bulls for some of our best cows.
